Local and Regional Releases InStock at Lost & Found Records

It’s time for another installment of local and regional gems in the bins at Lost & Found Records.

First up…

The White Animals
Nashville Babylon
(Dread Beat, 1981)

IMG_6445Indie before “indie” was a thing, Nashville band The White Animals debut EP, Nashville Babylon, found early success on college radio. The record consists of six tracks, two of which are covers: the Yardbirds “For Your Love,” and The Nashville Teens’ “Tobacco Road.” The remaining songs are fine examples of early southern new wave pop and rock & roll.

Three Man Band
Heavy Music for John Terrill
(Quiet American Recordings, QA002, 2012)

IMG_6439Debut and only vinyl from Knoxville combo Three Man Band, Heavy Music for John Terrill is very much that… heavy music. Not heavy metal… just loud heavy music. Will Fist on guitar and Abby Wintker on bass sing together into a single microphone. Cary Balch lays down a solid beat. Heavy, man… heavy.

The Stovebolts
Over The Limit
(Blahll!, 2015)

IMG_6437The Stovebolts hail from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Over the Limit is their fairly new second LP. Speed punk-a-billy in 11 loud and fast rockers that will most definitely take you beyond any limitations you may have.
