Lost & Found Records is proud to present an exhibition of psychedelic art, installations, wearables, and more by Julie Costner.
This is Julie Costner here on Earth to tell you I’m having a show at a place called Lost and Found Records on Broadway in Knoxville. I will be showing some old psychedelic originals of which prints may be ordered and purchased at anytime. I will be showing some new things too, like wall lamps made from old motorcycle gas tanks, a few small paintings and some cool wearables for the ladies or ladymens which will all be for sale.
My favorite game is illustration, but it seems through the years I stayed “inmy major” of Art by painting murals and faux finishes and working in the film and television industries as a scenic painter, production designer and various other important sounding titles that really mean I’m not above going to get cups of coffee for people. I have a BA from Maryville College, one year of graduate school from SCAD, and I lovingly trained under a few superior scenic artists. The rest of my training has been evening out the odds in Blount County, where I currently reside. My favorite style is psychedelia and Surrealism. I am good with my hands and nearly everything I touch turns groovy, so I’m just going with it. hehe
Julie’s art will be available for your eyeballs at Lost & Found Records for about 4 weeks, but openings are so much more fun. Come join us… we will have snacks and refreshments!
